A Gentle Question

Did you do any of “dis”?

Did you disappoint someone?

Disrespect someone?

Disarm someone’s confidence?

Disaffirm someone’s feelings?

If so… was it worth it?

That’s not a question rooted in shame. It’s a question rooted in awareness.

Growth requires reflection.

When We’ve Been “Dis-ed”

Maybe you weren’t the one who did it. Maybe you’re the one carrying it.

Maybe someone disappointed you. Maybe someone disrespected you. Maybe someone disapproved of you in a season when you needed support.

That kind of emotional removal can feel like rejection of the self.

But here’s what matters:

Someone else’s “dis” does not define your worth.

Their disapproval does not cancel your value. Their disrespect does not remove your dignity. Their disappointment does not erase your purpose.
