Finding Calm in the Chaos
Grounding, soothing, practical
After prayer comes something many of us forget to do…
Breathe.
Not shallow, rushed breathing—but intentional, calming, healing breath.
Because your body holds what your heart has been through.
Why Breathing Matters
When you’re stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed:
Your breathing becomes quick and shallow
Your body stays in “fight or flight”
Your mind struggles to slow down
Breathing is how we tell our body: “You are safe now.”
💜 The “Pray & Breathe” Technique
Try this simple rhythm:
Inhale: “Lord, fill me with peace…”
Exhale: “…and release my fear.”
Repeat for 2–5 minutes.
Let your shoulders drop. Let your body soften. Let God meet you in stillness.
Scripture
“Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10
Reflection Prompt
What changes in your body when you slow down and breathe?
